On October 19, 2004 the Poste Italiane introduced its commemorative postage stamp honoring the work of Bl. Luigi Guanella (Opera Don Guanella). The five-color stamp was designed by Rita Fantini and Tiziana Trinca and shows a portrait of Blessed Luigi Guanella and the Basilica of St. Joseph located on the Via Aurelia Antica in Rome.
